About the impact of Microsoft Windows 10 - March 2021 Security Update on Ricoh’s Printers

Microsoft identified an issue that affects Windows 10 devices which applied the March 2021 security update released on March 9, 2021, and a resolution has been expedited. This known issue affects printing operations for devices using printer drivers, which might receive an error with a blue screen or incomplete printing of images when attempting to print. An out-of-band optional update is now available on the Microsoft Update Catalog and Windows Update.

The following Windows Update might cause a blue screen or incomplete printing of images when you attempt to print to certain printers using some apps:

Windows 10 Version 20H2: KB5000802
Windows 10 Version 2004: KB5000802
Windows 10 Version 1909: KB5000808
Windows 10 Version 1903: KB5000808
Windows 10 Version 1809: KB5000822
Windows 10 Version 1803: KB5000809

Note: It has been reported that this issue occurs due to the influence of a certain KB application, and it is not limited to Ricoh’s devices.
